Appraisal Services are available at select Twin Bridges' Shows for an informal evaluation
and identification for a fee of $5.00 per item. Not all appraisers appear at all events.
   
Collectors are encouraged to contact individual appraisers between events for assistance
with individual items or estates.
Fees for services, when applicable, are by individual
arrangement between the collector and the appraiser.

Dr. Charles Ryder Dibble, Sally Kinsey,
Ed Fricke, and Bruce Havens. Over the
years Steven developed a deep interest
in American silver, the topic of his
graduate thesis.

He's taught classes on antiques for the
Morgan Hill Adult Education program
and the San Jose Southside Community
Center. Mr. Yvaska has also presented
lectures at a number of colleges and
universities. He appears regularly at
Home and Garden shows, antique fairs
and shows, as well as benefit events
sponsored by several charities.

Mr. Yvaska enjoys sharing his time and
knowledge in his community. For his
service to the Thrift Box resale shop in
San Jose - an arm of the Lucile Packard
Children's Hospital - he received the
2004 Children's Champion Award. He's
been granted honorary lifetime
membership in numerous civic and
social groups including the Alliance
League and the Los Altos Glass and
Decorative Arts Club.

Mr. Yvaska may be best-known for his
columns on antiques  for the San Jose
Mercury News. His work is often
reprinted in professional newsletters,

Steven is a frequent guest speaker
at Bay Area historical societies,
museums,  groups and antiques
clubs. He's delivered programs
about subjects as varied as
American art pottery, glass, jewelry,
holiday collectibles, ocean liner
memorabilia, silver and postcards.

Steven Wayne Yvaska was born in
Boston and became a collector by
age nine.  He graduated cum laude
from Syracuse University where he
began to delve into the decorative
arts. He completed his Master's
degree in Environmental Science
and studied with experts including

Patrick Archer, a generalist specializing in glass and pottery  
has been an avid collector for forty years. A California resident
for the past eight years, Mr. Archer previously served as a
certified appraiser with the State of Michigan’s Court system.

Gary Cox, known to many in the
greater Sacramento area as “The
Antique Answer Man,” began his
interesting journey from collector to
appraiser thirty years ago while living
in the Midwest. In recent years, he has
worked extensively as an appraiser
with local historical societies, notably
the Crocker Art Museum and the
Folsom Historical Society.  He is a
regular on Public Television,  
renowned speaker to glass collectors,
civil war buffs, antique societies and
those just learning, interested in how

Larry Hull, originally from
Missouri, has been an avid
collector for nearly half-a-
century and dealer since 1978.
Mr. Hull specializes in small
silver items as well as pre-Civil
war and American pattern
glass. His extensive collection
of early American glass has
been featured in several
antiques publications and he is
highly regarded as an expert in
his specialties. Now retired
from the antiques business
and living in Red Bluff, Mr. Hull

GUEST APPRAISER

Mr. Yvaska  brings over 25
years of experience in art,
antiques, as well as fashion
and design. A graduate of the
Vesper George School of Art
and the New England College
of Art and Design, Donald has
lectured nationally and around
the globe. He's well-known for
his tours of Europe that
explain the legacy of art and
architecture over the ages.
Yvaska has taught college
level courses in art history,
fashion and design. He's on
the staff of Rancho Santiago
College in Orange County,
and a fine art consultant at the
prestigious Martin Lawrence
