ABOUT THIS EVENT

Historic Folsom’s 47th Spring Antique Fair took place on Sunday, April 21, 2103. With
Historic Folsom's long awaited revitlization completed,  thousands of happy shoppers
filled the four blocks of Sutter Street for this popular event.  A tradition in Folsom since
the 1960's, Folsom's Antique Fairs draw thousands of enthusiastic
shoppers from throughout Northern and Central California and Southern Nevada.  
FREE admission, parking for shoppers in our multistory parking garage (located at the
foot of Sutter Street), free handicapped parking (at Wool and Sutter Streets) along with
convenient access from Regional Transit’s Sutter Street Station with free light rail
passes enhances attendance at this event.  
Throughout the four blocks of Sutter Street, shoppers always find a great
selection of antique and collectible merchandise, live entertainment and food and
beverage service. This is always a
rain or shine event,  so think sun!!!
WHAT TO EXPECT . . .

Folsom's Antique Fairs feature glass, china, pottery and porcelain, including
Depression Glass, elegant glass of the depression era, American pattern glass,
and California pottery; American and European furniture, including Hoosier
cabinets, pie cupboards, bookcases, bedroom suites, and dining sets; country
and primitives, including cast iron, ice cream and Bakelite gaming items, old
farm equipment, tools, and trunks; estate and vintage jewelry, watches and
accessories; paper collectibles, including post cards, books, old sheet music,
sports and movie memorabilia, and advertising signs; prints and paintings;
clothing and textiles, including vintage furs and linens; silver and silverplate;
musical memorabilia including hand-crank phonographs and records (78 and
LP); vintage lighting fixtures; and shabby chic and garden decor.
ANTIQUE APPRAISALS 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Gary Cox, The "Antiques Answer Man" sets up in the 800 block
of Sutter Street near the Folsom History Museum. Mr. Cox  is
well known locally for his work with the Crocker Museum, KVIE’s
Central Valley Chronicles and local historical societies. Mr. Cox
appears annually with the Folsom History Museum’s  Evaluation
Days and is a frequent appraiser with Twin Bridges Appraisers’
Panels.   Verbal appraisals are available for $8 per item or 3 for
$20.00.  Mr. Cox is available as well to arrange for a formal
appraisal of individual items or estates for insurance purposes or
for sale.
 He is located near the Folsom History Museum on
Sutter Street near Decatur Street
