Great Selection of Decorative
Arts at the Truckee Show
Thousands of quality antiques and unique
collectibles, all for sale, will be featured at
the 34th Annual Truckee Antiques Show
July 18, 19 and 20 at Truckee High School
on Donner Pass Road in  Truckee.
Because of the long-standing reputation of
this Show for strong support from
collectors, fifty exhibitors from nine
states,  including California, Idaho,
Missouri, Nebraska, Oregon, Nevada,
Tennessee, Utah and Washington, will
take part in this year’s event.  Known by
loyal antique enthusiasts as the largest,
finest show in the Cal Neva Area,
shoppers will discover a wide variety of
merchandise, including turn-of-the-century
oak and walnut furnishings, lighting
fixtures, kitchen and country primitives,
Victorian colored and art glass, American
art pottery, sterling silver and silverplate
flatware and holloware, estate and
costume jewelry, watches,  fine porcelains
and china, toys and dolls, American folk
art, paper collectibles (including prints,
maps, magazines and books) as well as
slot machines and gambling related items.
Originally founded in 1974 by the
Truckee Wolverine Boosters Club, the
Show continues to raise money for
Truckee High School’s scholarship,
academic and sports programs.
Beginning with this year’s event, the
Show will be promoted by Twin Bridges
Antique Productions, promoters of
quality antiques shows throughout
California and Southern Oregon since
1982.  The Show was previously
promoted by Walter Larsen of Walter
Larsen and Associates, Alameda, for
thirty-three years.
DON AND SHERRIE SIMPSON of Times Past,
Idaho, specialize in Native American jewelry,
primitves & linens
Judy Lang of Miracle Glass Repair, Grass Valley,
will  accept glass and china for repair and
restoration. Ernest Portillo of JMJ Antique Jewelry,
Sacramento will provide on-site jewelry repair.  Both
services will be available all show hours.
